The Southeast Maluku District Government paid a visit to the Ambon Village, Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration Community Empowerment and Training Center (BPPMDDTT) on Friday, May 5 2023. This visit was carried out in the context of coordinating cooperation and discussing the development of villages (or those also known as Ohoi) in the area.


The delegation consisting of sub-district government officials and Ohoi from Kec. Hoat Sorbay, Kec. West Small Kei, and Kec. Manyeuw, as well as BUMDES management representatives from the area, arrived at BPPMDDTT Ambon at 9 am. They were welcomed by the Head of BPPMDDTT, Mr. M. Suwakul, S.E, and other officials.


During the meeting, the sub-district government representatives who attended said that their area had great potential in the tourism and maritime sectors, especially in fisheries. In the forum, several assistance programs that have been implemented to strengthen these sectors were also presented.


In addition, the Head of BPPMDDTT Ambon also conveyed the programs that have been implemented by Balai Ambon in advancing the tourism sector, creative industries and the economy in Maluku Province. He also offered cooperation in the form of training and empowerment of human resources in tourism and maritime development in the area.


This visit took place in full cooperation and is expected to strengthen the synergy between the Southeast Maluku Regency Government and Ambon BPPMDDTT in carrying out training and community empowerment to develop these potential sectors.
