Ambon, November 20, 2025 — The Head of the Training and Empowerment Center for Village and Disadvantaged Area Communities (BPPMDDT Ambon), Ery Kurniawan, S.H, welcomed a delegation from the Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) of Kepulauan Sula District, North Maluku Province to strengthen coordination on the development of Village-Owned Enterprises (BUM Desa) in the district.
Held at the BPPMDDT Ambon office, the meeting brought together officials and experts to discuss strategic plans for institutional capacity building, improved business governance, and strengthening government-supported empowerment programs under the Ministry of Village and Development of Disadvantaged Regions.
In his remarks, Ery Kurniawan emphasized the vital role of BUM Desa in advancing rural economic independence, noting that continuous and targeted capacity development is essential. “We are ready to build strong collaboration to ensure BUM Desa in Kepulauan Sula can grow in line with local potentials and community needs,” he said.
The DPRD delegation expressed appreciation for BPPMDDT Ambon’s active support for empowerment initiatives across Maluku and North Maluku. They hoped the consultation will lead to concrete follow-up activities, including training access, technical guidance, and business partnership development.
The meeting concluded with a joint commitment to strengthen inter-institutional cooperation to develop competitive village enterprises that improve community welfare.
