Ambon, 21 November 2025 — The Ambon Training and Community Empowerment Center for Villages and Disadvantaged Regions (BPPMDDT Ambon) welcomed a visit from the Directorate General of Village Economic Development and Investment (PEI) to disseminate the concept of Competitive Village Investment.


The delegation was joined by functional Community Empowerment Officers from BPPMDDT Ambon, engaging in a strategic discussion on improving economic value and opportunities in villages throughout Maluku and North Maluku.


The PEI Directorate General highlighted the importance of innovation, business partnerships, and robust investment governance to drive village economic transformation. “Villages should not only receive programs but must become strong economic players capable of attracting investment,” a representative emphasized.


The Head of BPPMDDT Ambon expressed appreciation for the visit and reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to strengthen village capacity and develop competitive Village-Owned Enterprises (BUM Desa) that create economic value and employment opportunities. The session concluded with plans for sustainable follow-up actions in village investment development.
