Ambon, October 17, 2025 — The Training and Empowerment Center for Village and Disadvantaged Area Communities (BPPMDDT Ambon) received a visit from the Maluku Provincial Office of Cooperatives and MSMEs to coordinate the preparation for the Red and White Village Cooperative Capacity Building Program in Maluku.
The visit was welcomed by Marselitha Trivena Ohello, S.Hut., M.Si, Acting Head of BPPMDDT Ambon, along with Taufiq Hidayat, S.Pi, Acting Head of the General Affairs Subdivision. The meeting, held at BPPMDDT Ambon’s office, discussed collaborative strategies to strengthen the role of village cooperatives as drivers of local economic growth.
Both institutions emphasized the importance of synergy between central and regional government programs to ensure effective and sustainable cooperative capacity development. “We are committed to supporting this initiative through needs-based training tailored to village potential, ensuring the Red and White Village Cooperatives become independent and productive,” said Marselitha.
Representatives from the Maluku Cooperatives and MSMEs Office added that this initiative is part of a broader effort to strengthen village economic institutions across the province. With support from BPPMDDT Ambon, village cooperatives are expected to become more competitive and beneficial for rural communities.
This collaboration marks an initial step toward developing an adaptive model for empowering village cooperatives that aligns with local economic, social, and technological challenges.
